The death of former Shock News One Direction star Liam Payne has emerged exactly six years after he last visited Australia.
TMZ reports that the 31-year-old British singer fell from the third floor of a hotel in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires on Wednesday evening.
Several witnesses told the publication that Mr Payne fell from his balcony at the Casasur Palmero Hotel shortly after 5pm.
The devastating news comes almost six years to the day after Payne performed on Everest, Australia's richest race day. Sydney on October 15, 2018.
Taking to the stage for an exclusive 45-minute concert that day, the popstar treated excited fans to a mix of her solo songs and former One Direction's greatest hits.
While on stage, he performed his own singles Bedroom Floor and Strip That Down, while revisiting his One Direction hits History, Little Things and Drag Me Down.
Most of the audience had their phones to record the international artiste's performance and later posted some parts of his performance on social media platforms.
Despite the drizzly weather, Strip That Down delivered a high-energy performance as they danced confidently in white t-shirts.

Tha Bain fell from his room at the CasaSur Palmero hotel just after 5pm on Wednesday, local media reported.
Emergency services are believed to be outside the hotel, where a red tent has been set up at the scene.
Inquiries into the death of a 31-year-old man are ongoing.
Alberto Crescenti, a spokesman for the city's ambulance service provider, said he fell about 40 meters and suffered 'serious non-life-threatening injuries'.
He said: 'At 5.04pm local time an alarm was raised about a person lying in a courtyard in Gaza Sur.
An ambulance arrived at 5.11pm and the man was certified dead.
'Later we found out he was a famous singer. Unfortunately, his injuries from the fall proved fatal. There is no possibility of reviving him.'
