WHO WOULD DEFEND US?

A common-sense question for all Canadians to answer: If Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberals will not reach our two per cent of GDP NATO target, and if Pierre Poilievre refuses to even abide by the military spending target, who will defend Canada if and when we enter a conflict? If our new chief of defence is speculating that Canada only has about five years to properly equip its military to meet emerging threats, then Canada is faced with a defence Armageddon that we will all regret.

How ironic the recent Second World War commemorations were. We vow never to forget, yet we all do when it comes to defending our democracy. Shame.

WON’T CHANGE ANYTHING?

So Steven MacKinnon replaces Seamus O’Regan as labour and seniors minister.

MacKinnon proudly states that his Liberals need not change anything and will continue on the path they have set for Canadians. If that doesn’t convince Canadians we would be headed for disaster with them, I don’t know what would. He just confirmed the Liberals will continue devastating Canada by destroying the economy and continuing to erode our rights.

Any ideas on how, as concerned Canadians, we can start a groundswell of popular opinion to persuade Michelle Obama to accept the nomination of the Democratic party to run for the office of the president of the United States of America? She is the only intelligent, experienced, qualified and clear-visioned Democrat who could wipe the floor with Donald Trump and win the presidential election in a landslide. We may not be able to survive another four years of a man who wants to be king.

LOOK THEM IN THE EYE

We seem to have lost our sense of road courtesy. While driving on the 400 series of highways, I have noticed that, in stop-and-go traffic, drivers signal their intentions to merge into traffic and expect others to move over for them. A car’s signals are not a command for others to move over. They are an indication an action is planned. Do yourself a favour, roll down your window, make eye contact with a driver and wave, suggesting you are requesting permission to merge. Everyone will be happier.
