Owners must ultimately be responsible for their vehicles. Don’t expect Justin Trudeau and his political motley crew to introduce any real tough sentences for the criminals involved in these thefts; they talk a good game, but never deliver.

Expensive vehicles will always be vulnerable to getting swiped, but their owners have to take precautions, such as putting a Club on them, leaving them in garages when parked at home and keeping the keys away from just inside their front doors.
Yes, the automakers can do more to ward off potential thefts, such as installing tracking devices, but I draw the line about kill switches unless they are solely the responsibility of the owners themselves. Giving the state such power will only entice them to further infringe on our freedoms.

Most companies suffering financial losses will first evaluate the performance of the boss, but not OC Transpo. It has instead decided to cut staff and to decrease bus service.
I was under the impression that the city brought Renée Amilcar in to head up OC Transpo and to turn it around. Taxpayers are left wondering how that is going.

RUNNING ON FOSSIL FUELS
I think it’s time for us, as a society, to face facts and stop catering to the environmentalists.
Today, and a week ago, there was a power outage where I live, Constance Bay. Fortunately, I have an automatic standby generator, so I was unaffected. Thanks to my generator, my fridge kept running, I had heat and my well pump continued providing water. The point is that my generator runs on propane, a fossil fuel.

I prefer living in the 21st century, not the 18th, which I am able to do thanks to fossil fuels. Oh, and I could rely on my gasoline-powered car.
God gave us these resources for a reason. Let’s accept the reality and use these resources to carry on our modern lifestyle.
