Re: LILLEY: Justin Trudeau spends Christmas vacation at luxury estate in Jamaica, online, Jan. 4

So our illustrious leader, Justin Trudeau, once again jetted off to a sun-baked $7,000 (U.S.) per night vacation, allegedly paid for by a “friend.”
Does this not conjure up images of a long-dead Roman emperor playing a musical instrument while his city was engulfed in flames?

NO COST
It was nice that the Prime Minister’s Office finally decided to “clarify” the details of Justin Trudeau’s most recent Jamaican vacation. After initially claiming that the prime minister had paid for his stay in the tropical paradise, they retroactively explained that a family friend had provided the extravagant and expensive accommodations for free.

So far no word on whether helicopters or carbon offsets were required.

ANYTHING BUT FREE
The PMO recently foolishly told Canadians that Justin Trudeau’s Jamaican holiday was a freebee to taxpayers. That is hard to fathom considering the huge cost of his RCMP security detail that required meals and expensive hotel rooms, plus payment for their overtime.
To operate Trudeau’s Challenger costs $6,340 per hour, and (due to a maintenance issue) it required a second aircraft to make the trip, doubling the operating cost.
Trudeau’s lavish lifestyle during the trip even managed to outdo the $6,000 per night to stay at a hotel in England, as he treated himself to a $9,000 per night hotel in Jamaica.
What a slap in the face to Canadians who can barely pay for food, let alone think of an expensive holiday, because of Trudeau’s radical socialist-styled policies. Narcissist Trudeau is operating like Marie Antoinette, to whom is famously attributed the line, “Let them eat cake.”

PIERRE SHOULD HELP DANIELLE
It seems that Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is carrying most of the water in the fight against the draconian carbon tax. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is not backing her up enough and actually should be front and centre in bashing this dreadful tax.
His No. 1 election platform should be to kill the tax and scrap the insane mandate to have all cars sold in Canada by 2035 being electric, which actually translates into depriving the majority of Canadians of their vehicles.
Come on, Pierre, step it up!
