THE DOCTOR PROBLEM

With family doctors protesting the latest imposition of paperwork by the Province of Ontario, it is hard to understand how our governments have become so out of touch with the shortage of family physicians and its impact on us.

Article content

While the family doctors are leaving the profession like never before because of low compensation and unrealistic administration piled on them, the government has decided to add to the problem with increased immigration and even more paperwork.

Why would anyone want to become a family physician with all the costs and years of university, plus startup costs for a practice, just to receive $38 for a patient visit?

It is time for voters to solve this problem because existing politicians can’t or won’t.

RESTRICTING FREE SPEECH

The Online Harms Act is another example of Justin Trudeau’s woke tyranny. By protecting people from being offended, you restrict free speech.

LET ME MERGE, PEOPLE

Hey, I drive onto the Queensway at Carling Avenue going eastbound every morning between 8:30 and 8:40. What is wrong with all you people who have to get out of an active lane you’re already in, jump in front of me while I’m trying to merge left, only to see you trying to merge back into traffic 400 metres down the road? You’re the problem!

The merge lane ends in 800 metres, the active traffic lane ends a few hundred metres after that. You all know that. Stay left and let merging cars merge.

OUTSIDE CONSULTANTS?

Re: Canada’s middle class says too many taxes, not enough benefits: Report, online, April 2

Let me get this straight: The Privy Council hires outside consultants to ask focus groups if they’re happy? Here’s what I think the council should have done. Send some of their staff to interact with people at a bus stop. Ask those folks what’s wrong; after all, at this point in time, not much is right. Speak to the guy with the lunch pail, speak to the folks working in the service industry. You’ll get an earful.
