One of Brian Mulroney’s best moves was the GST (now HST in Ontario) on all goods and services and making that tax download visible to all consumers.

So, Prime Minister Juste Taxmoi, show me your carbon tax as a separate line item on all my purchases. When I fill up my car, post a package, buy groceries grown by farmers and then trucked to market, clothing from China, my flight (and yours) to Jamaica, my accountant’s invoice — all need to show your added carbon tax impact every time.

Forget your pennies (oops, nickels) on the dollar quarterly “re-bait” cheques that fool nobody.

Show me my tax hit. Every time. If Mulroney could do it, then so can you.

Hello, Pierre Poilievre, I expect you to raise this solution during question period in the House of Collusion.

CAN’T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS

The United Nations has 56 Muslim nation members. Like all members, they have access to aid, education and health support. Recently, those same Muslim nations appealed to the United Nations asking for a ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan. They have also requested that the United Nations take measures to combat Islamophobia. Yet many of those same nations continue to question Israel’s right to exist. They choose to ignore the 1947 resolution that was passed by the United Nations allowing for Israel’s formation.

So the decisions and actions of the United Nations are only of value to its Muslim members when they advance their causes or demands. For me, what comes to my mind are the words manipulation, exploitation and hypocrisy.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH PEOPLE?

What is wrong with people nowadays? The woke generation has really done it this time. So there will be a total solar eclipse on Monday. School has been cancelled that day, the Niagara region has declared a state of emergency, but the U.S. side of the Niagara region is selling seat tickets to watch it in New York state. The total eclipse will last only a few minutes. Give me a break. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. If people are dumb enough to stare right at it, well, they may get what they deserve.
