Today Epic Games released a new update for its popular survival crafting game LEGO Fortnite, including some subtle but interesting changes.
First of all, for those who have been running out of inventory slots, several items had their maximum stack size increased from 30 to 50.
On top of that, stacks for arrows had their maximum size increased even further, from 30 to 80. This is good for those who want to leave their village well-armed.
Hunger also received a pretty substantial change, albeit indirectly. Now food is going to be more filling, so you’ll need to eat a bit less to stay fed.
Lastly, the bug that caused items to get lost after being eliminated in the transition between aboveground and belowground has been fixed with this update.
Today’s patch notes also include the fixes and tweaks made over the past few days, as follows.
Durability
- The durability of non-Rare/non-Epic tools and weapons has increased by 30%. For Rare/Epic tools and weapons, the durability has increased by 60%!
Damage
- Reduced damage of the Brute’s Poison area for all three Brutes.
- Reduced damage of the Frost Scorpion explosion.
Critter Changes
- Sand Scorpions, Scorpions found in caves, regular Scorpions, Crabs on the shoreline, Sand Spiders, and Alpine Frost Spiders are slightly easier to defeat.
- Rams now give Heavy Wool.
Other Tweaks and Improvements
- Grapplers now hold 30 charges.
- Spiders won’t jumpscare you as often when turning over rocks.
LEGO Fortnite is playable now for free on all platforms on which you can run Fortnite.
It launched a few days ago as part of a series of games-within-a-game including Rocket Racing by Rocket League studio Psyonix and Fornite Festival by Rock Band developer Harmonix.
The launch of these three games, which aren’t minigames, but full-fledged experiences in their own right, can be seen as a furthering of Epic Games’ effort to turn Fortnite from a single game into a metaverse.
Incidentally, you can still grab the brand-new Explorer Emilie skin for both Fortnote and LEGO Fortnite by connecting your LEGO Insider account (you can simply make one if you don’t have it) with your Epic Games account.
