LEGO Fortnite fans are getting very excited, with the next update set to bring a highly-requested feature to the game mode! Set to be the biggest update to the game since it launched in December, Update v29.10 will come on March 26.
We’ve already had a massive content drop this month. That included new skins, LEGO Kits, and general gameplay changes and bug fixes. All of that is set to pale in comparison to what Epic Games has next on the agenda.
Freewheeling LEGO Fortnite
Players have been making creative ways to travel faster across the map in LEGO Fortnite since the start. Although we’ve seen vehicles introduced, they aren’t always the easiest to manoeuvre. Wheels, dynamic bases, rockets, and switches help you get around, but so far you haven’t been able to steer.
Thankfully, for those of us who hate the slower journey around the island, Epic Games has a nice gift for us. Initially teased on the official @LEGOFortnite account on X (formerly Twitter) on March 22, an image of a wheel on a turning axle was released. That was followed a day later by a driver’s seat and steering wheel. Finally, on March 24, an image revealing three LEGO Fortnite vehicles was released!
The new vehicles got the community talking, with eagle-eyed fans looking for hints as to what could come. At the front of the image is a one-seater which looks good for nipping around quickly. However, it is the two bigger vehicles that are really intriguing.
Both have chests on them, suggesting that you will be able to move a larger inventory around with you. The vehicle in the background also has a set of stairs and what appears to be a workbench! This will really help with creating villages all over the place.
If you want to take to the skies, make sure you learn how to craft a Launch Pad in LEGO Fortnite. To go with that and help with faster travel, you will also need to know how to make a Glider.
