Once players have found a few animals, they’ll need to find a way to get them to create fertilizer. Essentially, fertilizer is, well…their droppings. The easiest way to get them to create this is to wait around until they release some. It usually doesn’t take too long, especially if they’re already eating something.
For those who’d rather not wait and want to focus on building, there’s a way to speed up the process. Players can feed the animal some food. This will make it easier for them to produce the fertilizer that players can use for their farm. To feed them, here’s the process to follow:
- Stand near the animal being fed.
- Open up the backpack, and click on any food item.
- Select ‘Drop,’ and then walk away. The animal will then eat the food and create fertilizer.
Keep in mind that each animal is different in what food they prefer. Always have some raspberries, pumpkins, and corn on-hand, and they will most likely eat one of them.
