Call of Duty 2024, rumored to be called Black Ops Gulf War, will be revealed sooner than many fans possibly realize. As with every installment, leaks have begun to surface as Activision gets ready to pull the curtain aside. While most of the leaks are very promising and exciting, there is a specific leaked Call of Duty 2024 perk bound to upset and divide the community.
There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to the next CoD installment. There is the possibility that Call of Duty 2024 will be free for millions of gamers from day one of its release, and leaks indicate that the campaign is poised to be the best ever. We have a hub detailing all of the leaks and rumors for CoD 2024 so far, and this details everything from the rumored release window to zombies.
As with every CoD entry, the multiplayer will be the deciding factor as to whether the game is beloved or judged by fans. The community will be able to play Black Ops Gulf War multiplayer for the first time when the beta comes out, but right now we only have leaks, and fans may be annoyed to hear that Last Stand is set to return.
Call of Duty 2024 leaks reveal Last Stand perk
We previously reported on over 100 guns, perks and killstreaks leaked for Call of Duty 2024. As part of that compilation, one of the leaked perks is Survivor which includes Last Stand. Prominent CoD leaker, Vondyispog, describes the leaked Survivor perk as follows:
Survivor perk:
- On death, enter Last Stand with the ability to self-revive once per life.
- Teammates can revive downed players faster.
Of course, this isn’t official as of writing and is merely a leak. Activision has confirmed nothing about the newest upcoming CoD installment as of yet.
However, while unconfirmed, some fans will be worried about the prospect of Last Stand coming back. It was part of Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2, and some fans have labeled it the ‘worst thing in the history of CoD‘.
The primary issue with Last Stand according to fans is primarily that it was unrealistic and that in Modern Warfare 2 players didn’t get credited with the kill for downing enemies. Fans were also really annoyed that Last Stand kills didn’t count towards camos.
Assuming it does return in Black Ops Gulf War as leaked, hopefully, improvements are made. The addition of a self-revive mechanic is interesting, but Survivor has always been hotly contested with the online community calling out other players for using the perk.
