Release Date for Last Epoch
Last Epoch will officially exit early access and release on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. This is when players will be able to enjoy the full game and begin their journey through the land of Eterra.
Last Epoch has been in development for years now, with the first look at the game being in 2018 as part of the game’s Kickstarter campaign. Now, after several delays, the official release date is here for players to look forward to.
The day before the release, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the early access game will begin downtime to upgrade to the 1.0 release. This will begin at 11 AM CT. It will come back online at the start time.
Last Epoch Start Time
The release of 1.0 for Last Epoch will take place at the following times:
- 9 AM PST on February 21, 2024
- 12 PM EST on February 21, 2024
- 5 PM GMT on February 21, 2024
- 6 PM CET on February 21, 2024
The start time for Last Epoch’s exit from early access will be released simultaneously for all time zones, so no one area has a head start.

Will I lose my progress when Last Epoch 1.0 releases?
No, you will not lose any progress you’ve made in early access when the full release comes. The characters you’ve made will not be deleted.
The game will move all previous characters and progression to a legacy realm on the release date, and a new season of the game to celebrate the 1.0 release will begin. You will still have access to any previously made characters, but they will not be in the current realm.
How to preload Last Epoch
Luckily, since the game has been available through Steam in early access, the game is able to be downloaded onto your system at any time. Simply head to the game’s store page on Steam, purchase it, and begin installing the game.
You will still have to endure the downtime for the game server as they upgrade to 1.0, but as long as the game is installed before release, you’ll be able to play as soon as it begins.
Last Epoch Gameplay
Last Epoch is an Action RPG that lets you build up your own character in any class that you choose. You’re able to choose from five base classes, which in turn each have three masteries to choose from. This lets you tailor your character to your favorite style.
The game lets you hack and slash your way through tons of enemies while exploring dungeons. As you progress, you’ll earn fantastic loot that you can deck out your character with. You can craft incredible weapons and armor, as well.
The Last Epoch 1.0 release will introduce tons of new content that wasn’t available in early access, including two new mastery classes. It’s a great time to begin your journey to save Eterra.
