Capturing rare hand enemies in Persona 3 Reload can be a great way to get a bunch of rare items for money, if you can catch them in time. However, along with these rare hands, there are a few normal hands that can also be quite difficult to defeat if you aren’t aware of their weaknesses.

In particular, the Killing Hand is a hand enemy that often appears alongside other enemies in Tartarus. Since this foe is often found towards the beginning of the game, you might be unsure of its weaknesses. Here’s how you can take down the Killing Hand with ease.

The Killing Hand is a hand enemy that appears in Tartarus, in the Arqa Block, which ranges from Floors 23 to 69. In particular, you’ll more often find Killing Hands anywhere from Floor 30 to 45.

Killing Hands will often appear alongside Treasure Hands, which are a rare hand enemy that appears on these floors in the Arqa Block. If you’re struggling to come across any of these, you can visit the Fortune Teller in Club Escapade. You can purchase a Rarity Fortune for 3,000 Yen, which will increase the number of encounters you’ll have with rare shadows.

Killing Hand Weakness in Persona 3 Reload

Killing Hands are enemies that essentially protect the Treasure Hand from being taken down easily. Their weaknesses and resistances are:

  • Weak: Wind
  • Null: Ice and Light

At this point in the game, you should have access to Yukari, Akihiko, Junpei, Mitsuru, and possibly Aigis, Koromaru, and Ken. You’ll want to make sure to at least bring along Yukari on your trip, as she will have Wind attacks that she can use against the Killing Hand enemies. Treasure Hands will have a weakness for Light attacks, so we recommend bringing along a Persona that the main character might have that deals Light attacks. A few examples include Virtue (Justice), Robin Hood (Justice), or Mitra (Temperance).

The easiest to unlock early in the game would be Mitra. This Persona can be found at Level 22, or can be fused using Chimera (Chariot) and Rakshasa (Strength), or Principality (Justice) and Lilim (Devil). If you have access to Ken as a party member, you can bring him along to deal Light damage as well. However, if you are lacking in any Light options, you can still use Wind attacks on Treasure Hands, especially the skill Magaru which will deal Wind damage to all enemies on the field. This will allow you to easily take out the Killing Hands, while also chipping away at the Treasure Hand’s health.
