Kelly Ripa's hazy gesture toward her husband Mark Consuelos has resurfaced following the couple's awkward conversation about divorce on Live With Kelly and Mark.
Last year, the couple – married for 28 years – revealed some of their marital problems in a live interview with their personal therapist, Dr. Linda Carter.
Dr. During their conversation with Carter, Kelly asked the psychologist what couples who work together should do if they fight before going to work.
'Suppose a couple is arguing at home and they have to go to work together. What's the best way to deal with it?' she asked.
Dr Carter replied, 'It's important to have a ritual where things are good with the other person, the argument is over, perhaps by holding hands and squeezing their partner's hand – a signal.'

'But what if we can't argue?' Kelly continued, to which the doctor explained, 'So maybe it's a signal that says, “We'll get back to it later, but for now we're holding off.”
Mark later revealed that he and Kelly once had a 'fallout' before going to a 'public party' together.
During the event he tried to tell his wife 'disagreement over' by taking her hand and doing as she suggested, however, his gesture was not returned.
“What I felt on the other side of my embrace was a very cold, dead hand,” he said. 'When she's happy with me, she gives me a squeeze, a little touch.
'[But that night] It looked like a corpse. I had a corpse. She does it on purpose.'
During the chat, Kelly also admitted that Mark was once too clingy.
After asking Dr Carter for tips on how couples can stay together 24/7 amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the actress explained that she struggles with that herself 'sometimes'.
Mark revealed that he and Kelly once had a 'disagreement' before going to a 'public dinner' together.
Mark tried to say 'argument over' by squeezing his wife's hand, but his loving gesture was not returned.
'Sometimes, if I go to another room to get a seat, someone walks behind me,' she admits, turning to Mark and saying, 'Yeah I do that.'
But he promises that the next time Kelly says he 'needs a minute', he's going to leave her alone.
Meanwhile, Kelly stunned both Kelly and Live With Kelly and Mark's husband and viewers by bringing up the divorce issue live this week.
He began by mentioning that he had recently read a magazine article about the growing phenomenon of 'grey divorce', used to describe the increasing number of divorces among people aged 50 and over.
“I was talking to Mark about it and Mark got very defensive,” she explained.
Mark replied, 'You come home from the trip and say, 'I read this amazing article!'
Kelly joked that the way the article was written made her feel like she wanted a 'grey' divorce.
Kelly stunned viewers of Live With Kelly and Mark on Monday when she broached the subject of divorce live with husband Mark.
Kelly said she was reading a magazine article about the growing phenomenon of 'gray' divorce, a term used to describe the rising number of divorces among people aged 50 and over.
The awkward exchange divided viewers, with one writing, 'He used the article to feel insecure. This can work in two ways. Either the guy sticks or he walks out the door. Risky business.'
Another added: 'Every joke has some truth to it and he's nervous.
A third said, 'Divorce in old age is terrifying for many of us who have experienced it. How beautiful she is [able] To joke about it so much.'
However, one viewer praised the pair, writing, 'I love them together, they're relatable.'
Kelly and Mark first met in 1994 when they auditioned for the soap opera All My Children, which launched both of their careers.
They eloped to Las Vegas on May Day 1996 and have since welcomed three children.
