The latest player ratings update for NBA 2K24 has arrived and it was less than kind to Kawhi Leonard. Once one of the top-rated small forwards in the game, the Los Angeles Clippers superstar saw his overall rating drop by two points in the latest update. Other players got hit with buffs and nerfs as well, as the NBA season rolls on and showcases who’s hot and who’s not.
Kawhi Leonard’s NBA 2K24 rating cut in latest change
Kawhi Leonard was a 92 OVR after the latest update. Now, he’s down to a 92 OVR, which is a worrying trend. The LAC superstar began the season hovering around the top 10 of the entire game with a 94. He had dipped to that 92 and continues to slide even further. If he doesn’t turn things around, an incomprehensible drop out of the 90 range is more than possible.
He isn’t the only Clipper struggling, though. Paul George dipped to an 88 OVR. James Harden was wrecked by the latest update, slouching from an 89 to an 86. Even Russell Westbrook got a downgrade, down to 80 OVR.
The rest of the league had some ups and downs as well. Devin Booker jumped further into the best players in the game by rising to a 95 OVR. Tyrese Haliburton continues to make his case to join as he is up two points to a sterling 92 OVR. Potential Rookie of the Year Chet Holmgren rose to an 85, which is tied with Victor Wembanyama (who slid from an 86 to an 85).
Other notable changes include:
- Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics (-1 to 88 OVR)
- LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets (+2 to 87 OVR)
- Mark Williams, Charlotte Hornets (+2 to 82 OVR)
- DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls (-2 to 83 OVR)
- Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers (-1 to 92 OVR)
- Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks (-1 to 95 OVR)
- Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors (-1 to 96 OVR)
- Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers (-1 to 92 OVR)
- Jimmy Butler, Miami Heat (-1 to 93 OVR)
- Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks (-2 to 83 OVR)
- Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (-1 to 88 OVR)
- Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks (-1 to 87 OVR)
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder (+1 to 94 OVR)
- OG Anunoby, Toronto Raptors (-2 to 80 OVR)
- Jordan Poole, Washington Wizards (-2 to 79 OVR)
The ratings will ebb and flow as the season goes on. There are frequent updates to the game’s ratings, and they are based on recent form. It’s easy to have a down stretch, but it’s also easy to get hot and improve the ratings. Nevertheless, these are the current ratings.
