Liam Payne has paid a heartfelt tribute to Justin Bieber, five days after his shocking death aged 31.
The 31-year-old singer, who dominated the charts in the 2010s with the boy band, shared a touching video of floral tributes and messages in memory of Liam, with the message: “Rest in peace, Liam.” This was followed by a broken heart emoji.
The One Direction star fell from the third floor of the Casa Sir Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday. He died instantly from multiple injuries that caused “internal and external hemorrhage.”
A voiceover in the clip said: “Remember: you can be angry as a fan.” You can fall in love with someone you've never met.
'It allows you to appreciate someone's art. You can cry, break down and feel like a part of you is gone.'

Payne died on October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
There was a rank rivalry between Liam and Justin, which turned into a full-blown feud after a YouTube video showed Liam Payne criticizing the Canadian singer.
But despite their initial feud, Liam previously revealed how he and Bieber bonded and learned they had more in common than their boyish charm and good looks.
In a podcast segment filmed with YouTube star Logan Paul in 2022 that resurfaced following his tragic death, the One Direction member revealed that he reached out to Bieber in an attempt to end the feud, and more. The striking parallel between the pair in the early days of their careers.
The British boy band has sold more than 70 million records worldwide, while Bieber has sold more than 150 million records.
Speaking on Logan Paul's Impulsive podcast, Payne told her side of the story as she recalled speaking on Instagram 'drunk' when someone mentioned Justin Bieber.
Payne recalled, “The only thing between me and him was like, 'I didn't get arrested,'” while also noting that he never intended to offend Bieber.
And he added: “Some meat started.”
Payne recalled how a feud that started online began to spill over into real life because One Direction and Bieber shared few fans.

However, he mentioned a certain awards ceremony when both the band and Bieber were there, and Liam thought 'I'll have a chat with him' to resolve the conflict.
Speaking about Bieber at the time, Liam noted: “He's grown as a person.”
He later recalled that Bieber said, “I've always had feelings for you… number one, I've done all the things that you've done and I'm not stuck in any of them… number two, I've always had real feelings for you.” 'Man, I think we all suffer from the same illness in our situation.'
He later recounted how he told the Canadian singer that while he depended on his band during the fight, Bieber was a solo artist and didn't have the same support system.
Bieber's response: “Bro, that gave me chills,” Payne says. From there the two became friends.
He said he wanted to draw on his own experiences and help other young people and children entering showbiz cope with the overwhelming nature of the industry.
Liam told a similar story to RollaCoaster magazine in 2017, where he described Bieber as “a great guy” with a “good heart.”
She added of the moment she broke bread with the Canadian singer: “I told him, 'Take my number, you want to chat anytime, just let me know I'm here, I understand what you're going through.' I understand your world.”
Liam began his quest for stardom in 2008 when he first auditioned for The X Factor.
At the tender age of 14, Liam wowed the judges with his own version of Frank Sinatra's Fly Me to the Moon, but was later kicked off the show.
However, Payne returned to his singing career by auditioning for the competition in 2010, where he quickly rose to fame as part of One Direction.
He and his former bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson saw their potential as a team alongside Simon Cowell and former judge Nicole Scherzinger.
After releasing five albums as one of the biggest boy bands of all time, Liam released his first solo album titled LP1 in 2019.
