João Castano has revealed that he now focuses on exercise as much as his mental health as his physical health.
The celebrity personal trainer, who welcomed his first child with ex Simone Holtznagel earlier this year, tells The Daily Telegraph that as he's gotten older, his priorities have changed.
'Finding a balance between work, relationships and self-care is so important,' said the 33-year-old.
'Prioritizing family, health and personal interests alongside professional commitments leads to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.'
He continued: 'Exercise greatly improves mood by releasing endorphins, reducing stress and boosting self-esteem.
'It improves mood, promotes better sleep, and can foster social interactions, all of which contribute to overall mental well-being.'
The ACERO gym owner says her mental health and time for herself are the focus going forward.
'The most important lifestyle lesson I've learned is don't forget to be selfish,' Jono told the publication.

The dig was taken after Simone broke her silence on their split, saying she 'couldn't replace' the man she loved, as she hinted at the reasons behind their split.
'I wanted to set an example for my daughter; That was something that changed for me. One day I said, 'What am I doing? This is not right.' I would hate for her to ever be in this situation,' she told the Star.
“At the end of the day you have to do what's right for you. No matter how many promises people make or anything else, when they show you who they are, believe them. Because you can't change people.'
Simone also said she was content raising her baby Zia, six months, alone and she believes she made the right choice.
'I never felt sure of anything, I knew I could do it myself. “Unfortunately, I mostly had to do it myself, but I couldn't think of it any other way, really,” he said.

Simone welcomed her daughter Gia with Jono on Easter Sunday, but the couple went their separate ways nine weeks later, with Jono confirming the news at the end of July.
'Who knows what the future holds, our intention is to be the best parents to Kia at this stage,' she told Daily Mail Australia in a statement at the time.
A close friend of the couple later revealed that the writing was on the wall for the end of Simone and Jono's relationship for some time.
A source told The Daily Telegraph that several friends and family members had warned Simone that her model lifestyle was not in line with Jono's fitness influencer career.
