Joel Kim Booster is apologizing for his comments against The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador.
THE Fogo Island star reportedly hosts a dating show set to air on Peacock. The show will feature stars from Bravo's The real housewives franchise. After the wrap party, Booster took to social media and criticized Beador for allegedly mistreating the production during filming, something he now “deeply regrets.”
“I've had a lot of time to think and process this and I wish I could say I wasn't the guy who posted these statements on Instagram, but the fact is I am,” Booster shared on his Instagram Stories. “I let an initial conflict cloud my judgment and accessed the darkest, ugliest part of myself and said things I don't stand by or even believe and I deeply regret that I allowed my worst self to cloud my judgment.”
In a second post on Instagram Stories, Booster added, “I know Shannon has had an extraordinarily difficult year as she bravely shared it and as someone who has her own struggles that spilled over into work, I should have had more grace for her in that moment.”
“I deeply regret the way I made Shannon’s path toward stability more difficult, and I hope she comes out the other side of this stronger, healthier, and with the love she deserves in her life,” Booster continued. . “I regret making this part of the history of our show, as I am deeply proud of the work that myself, the women and the crew did to make it.”
Booster followed up with a third post on Instagram Stories, where he said, “I love our amazing crew and production team so much, and I would go to war for every single one of them.”
Beador was asked about the comments during a fan Q&A as part of his comedy tour alongside The Real Housewives of Orange County former student Vicki Gunvalson.
The reality TV personality said she was at the airport when she discovered Booster's comments, adding, “I don't really know what it's about.” Beador said that “before the wrap party,” Booster “had tears in his eyes and said, 'I'm so happy for you.'”
“He destroyed my daughters,” Beador added. “He said I hope to suffer. He said he feels sorry for John Jansen. He says I'm nothing but a pathetic drunk and that's really going to seem silly to him because he's had nothing but love for me throughout the entire show.”
Beador continued: “What makes me sad is that I did some kind things on the show and people said it was kind. It's hard for me to let go of an experience I really enjoy. But we'll see what happens. I don’t know where it came from, I really don’t.”
Booster said in the first of a series of now-deleted Instagram Stories that the Bravo fan account Bravo Historian shared on X, “Just because you're a pathetic drunk on a reality show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI doesn't make you a star and it doesn't give you license to treat the people you work with like they're subhuman. Period. They're going to make me delete this, but message me if you want to see some videos. Kisses!”
Beador was involved in a hit-and-run incident while driving drunk in September 2023. RHOC Star was later sentenced to three years probation. RHOC Season 18, currently airing on Bravo, finds Beador dealing with the consequences of his actions. Beador's storyline also involves the fallout from her relationship with John Janssen, who is now dating her co-star Alexis Bellino.
