IN PHOTOS: Canadian icons honoured in 25th Walk of Fame

Celebrities, athletes, politicians and other well-known Canadian public figures were feted this Saturday in Toronto for Canada’s 25th annual Walk of Fame celebration.

This year’s honourees included political satirist Rick Mercer, pop punk icon Avril Lavigne and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid.

The glitzy event was attended by figures from Canadian business, politics and philanthropy. National Post has compiled a photo collection of the renowned guests, featuring former Prime Ministers, country star Brett Kissel and this year’s Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour recipient, rapper Kardinal Offishal.
