The upcoming anime series If My Wife Became an Elementary School Student (Tsuma, Shougakusei ni Naru) is set to premiere in October as part of the Fall 2024 anime season.
The series was previously announced earlier this year, and follows a father and daughter who remain stagnant in their daily lives following the loss of their wife/mother. However she returns in the body of an elementary schooler who had similarly given up on life. Together, the family searches for a way forward. You can check out the trailer below.
The series is based on the 2018 manga series by Yayu Murata and is being animated by Studio Signpost whose past work includes seasons 3-5 of Kingdom and the recent series My Clueless First Friend.
Aoi Yuuki is filling the lead role of Takae, the young woman who was reincarnated. Yuuki is largely known for her role as Tanya Degurechaff in the series The Saga of Tanya the Evil.
