You, me, and even the cat no doubt know that Gamescom 2024 has kicked off, and I am sure you will join me in hating everyone in Cologne right now through sheer jealousy. Putting that aside, HoYoverse has showcased trailers for three of their games, each full of interesting little tidbits.
Kicking off with the HoYoverse’s poster child, Genshin Impact showed off its latest region, Natlan. It is a fascinating place ruled by multiple clans, whose world follows a warrior’s rule. The new landscape can be traversed in several exciting ways, even if you aren’t a highly tuned athletic war machine.
We would be remiss if we did not at least touch upon the Xbox reveal. Genshin Impact will land on Xbox on November 20th, and you can Wishlist it today. Or, you could head to the App Store and Google Play and give it a go right now. Not a hard choice. So, moving on.
In space news, we got a peak at some upcoming story content for Honkai: Star Rail. The latest trailer showed the Trailblazers encounter Feixiao and The Xianzhou Yaoqing’s Merlin’s Claw. After being regaled of tales about the Seven Aribiter-General’s powers, one of them bursts onto the scene in tremendous fashion.
Almost as important, or for me much more importantly, we got some extra details on the upcoming Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]. Perhaps the greatest character from that world, Archer, arrives on the Astral Express, shocking the crew and breadcrumbing a massive multiversal journey ahead of us. Experience it on iOSand Android now.
Zenless Zone Zero is still finding its feet as HoYoverses’ youngest baby, but even so, it is doing pretty well for itself. We recently got Version 1.1, introducing a new story and a host of colourful new characters, which is what got showcased in the latest trailer at Gamescom ONL.
Jane Doe is prominently featured, the mysterious character who seems to hold no allegiance, and even if she did we wouldn’t believe her. The most interesting part here was at the end, where we got glimpses of a new area of New Eridu. You can also spy some Sons of Calydon, who will no doubt feature in the next update or two. Catch up on the new story by visiting the App Store and Google Play.
