For those who are looking to book a getaway in July, you might give some thought to Los Angeles between the 4th and 7th, which just so happens to coincide with the Anime Expo 2024. Amongst all the storied attendees is HoYoverse, who will be bringing three of their popular games to the show.
Starting off with Honkai: Star Rail, HoYo will be bringing the Golden Hour dreamscape to LA, straight from their latest world, Penacony. There will be a booth to visit featuring different areas representing this idyllic landscape. You could also get your hands on some new merchandise, including the Pom-Pom Blanket and Plushie which both sound adorable.
If you happen to drop by the Main Gall on July 5th the Astral Express will also be hosting a panel discussion from 15:00 to 16:20 PT. There will be a series of animated shorts exploring the creations of Star Rail characters from content creator Tash Taste, with several voice actors from the game. There will be a further panel on July 7th from 14:30 to 15:20 PT in Room 511ABC which will provide insights into the creation of animated shorts by Tingmu Yang.
Next up is Genshin Impact, sporting a rather storybook booth. Inspired by the latest nation, Fontaine, there is a touch of a pop-up book style, showing off the captivating landscapes of Teyvar. Everyone will receive an adventure handbook and be able to take part in on-site tasks to collect character cards, which sounds pretty cool.
Finally, because there is a distinct absence from HoYo’s latest launch, isHonkai Impact 3rd. Whilst it has someone managed to evade the worldwide success of its later siblings, it is still going strong with a massive update in February 2024. If you are a fan of the OG HoYo game, don’t miss your chance to get some exclusive merchandise.
