Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Review
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden tells a great story of love in the face of tragedy while doing just enough to keep players locked in.
How To Parry Attacks In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
The main purpose of parrying is to help players create an opening for a strike in a fight. In the early stages of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, players can just block attacks by holding down the L1/LB button on their controllers. While blocking an attack is not as effective as parrying, it is better to go with the former when in doubt.
In order to parry an attack, players will have to press the L1/LB button just before a strike is about to land. It is a bit more tricky than regular blocking, but it is more effective and makes for a great asset. Players can master parrying in a short period of time, especially if they start Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden on one of the lower difficulties. On the lowest difficulty, enemies don’t deal much damage, making it the perfect way to learn to parry. You can learn how to parry attacks quickly by following these steps:
- Select Story or Easy Difficulty
- Go to an area with enemies
- Kill all but one enemy
- Let it attack, and press L1/LB right before it is about to make contact
- If you fail, repeat the steps until you get ahold of it
Another thing to keep in mind is that parrying while facing a large horde of enemies is not the best approach, especially when they have you surrounded. Instead, dodge their attacks and move away from them. Then try to finish them off, one by one.
Players can also try to learn an enemy’s attack pattern. This will make it easier to know when to press the button and parry the attack.
