A Highland Song is bereft with mysteries and stories folded away in the hills and mountains. One mystery, however, is close to home. Here’s how to unlock the rusty warehouse in A Highland Song.
Finding the Rusty Padlock Key
The Rusty Warehouse is the first structure that you come across when running away from home. Moira will comment on it being there for ages, and that she’s never seen anyone else go in or come out. When you try the door, you’ll notice that it won’t budge.
This is because you need the Rusty Padlock Key to unlock it. This key isn’t found deep in the wilderness or at the peak of a mountain, but close to home. Very close to home. Return back to your house, and go up to the window. You’ll be prompted to sneak under, so your mum doesn’t see.
Once you’ve snuck past the window, head over to the lavender bush. Take a twig, and Moira will also notice that a rusty key is in the bush, too. With the key, you’re free to go back to the Rusty Warehouse to open it.
With the great outdoors to explore, it’s of little wonder that players may have missed this detail. Especially as it’s behind the house when all you’ll want to do is run off.
The Rusty Warehouse in A Highland Song
The Rusty Warehouse is located just before the first peak you discover, below the antenna that Moria’s mum thinks is spying on her. With the Rusty Padlock Key, make your way over.
The Rusty Warehouse, once unlocked, can be entered. The items in the Rusty Warehouse will be different between each game. The first time, I found a knife. The second time, I found a purple gem. So what you find will be up to you to discover.
You can also shelter and sleep inside the Rusty Warehouse, although you probably won’t considering it’s very close to your own home.
If you’re looking to discover all there is to discover in A Highland Song, then you’ll need to go back home to unlock the Rusty Warehouse. You could discover something to bless one of the peaks, or an item needed to help uncover the many mysteries of the highlands.
