How to Make the Essence of Will

With the final act of A Rift in Time, Jafar has finally joined the Dreamlight Valley. Once he becomes a villager, you can do his friendship quests, much like other valley residents.

The Essence of Will is a quest item that you make with Jafar during his friendship level four quest, The Alchemical Revolution. Players will need it for an experiment with Jafar to craft the Gilded Stone. Keep reading this guide to find out how to make the Essence of Will in DDV.

How to Make the Essence of Will in Disney Dreamlight Valley

At the start of The Alchemical Revolution quest, Jafar tells you that a Gilded Stone can turn refined materials into gold. To make it, you need Alchemical Gold, Emotive Essences, and three Major Essences: Essence of Will, Essence of Wonder, and Essence of Wishes.

Here are all the materials you need to create the Essence of Will in DDV:

• 1 x Essence of Patience
• 1 x Essence of Desire
• 1 x Essence of Determination

How to Find the Ingredients for the Essence of Will in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To find all the items for the Essence of Will, the protagonist will first need to chat with three alchemy experts in the valley during The Alchemical Revolution quest. These villagers are Fairy Godmother, Ursula, and Jack Skellington.

They will tell you that to create the major essences, including the Essence of Will, you need to mix three minor essences. So now you have to gather the following alchemy ingredients and give them to Jafar:

• 1 x Ancient Sand-Polished Stone.
• 1 x Mini Holiday Tree
• 1 x Flying Book

The Ancient Sand-Polished Stone is found by fishing in the orange ripples in the Glittering Dunes biome. To get the Mini Holiday Tree, dig a hole with your Royal Shovel, plant the Holiday Seeds from Jack Skellington, water them, and then wait for the tree to grow. Dreamers can catch the Flying Book at Ancient’s Landing by chasing it.

When you hand over the resources to Jafar in his palace laboratory, he’ll extract seven minor essences from them. To make the Essence of Will, players will need these three:

• The Essence of Patience
• The Essence of Desire
• The Essence of Determination.

Head to the nearby alchemy table to collect them. Once you have all the ingredients, go to the alchemy station in Jafar’s laboratory, and add everything into the pot to make the Essence of Will.
