How to Get Creepy Armor

Much like the first title in the Endnight series, Sons of the Forest leaves players stranded on an island surrounded by cannibals and mutants. They must survive against nature and man as living in the forest gets more dangerous every day. Fighting back is always a good, sometimes unavoidable, option, and equipping armor allows players to take a few more hits before it’s detrimental.

There are several types of armor in Sons of the Forest, but Creepy armor is by far some of the best. However, it is the hardest armor to stockpile as it can only be harvested from specific mutants and can’t be picked up. Here’s a complete guide on how to get Creepy armor and build a full armor suit in Sons of the Forest.

How to Get Creepy Armor

The only way to get Creepy armor in Sons of the Forest is to skin large mutants, mainly found underground in caves and some bunkers. The most common mutants that drop Creepy armor are known as Fingers. They have no arms, and their upper torso consists of finger-like tendrils, and they sprint at players and thrash their heads to attack. The best way to take them down is to shoot them in the leg to temporarily stun them or blow them up with a grenade or sticky bomb. Players can also craft molotovs with vodka and cloth to set them on fire.

Players can also get Creepy armor off of other mutants, including but not limited to the following:

  • Twins
  • Armsy
  • Spotty Mutants
  • Caterpillars

Mutants are much more formidable than cannibals. They are faster, more violent, and have tougher defenses. Additionally, they hang out in the dark caves, although they will occasionally come to the surface if players have been on the island for enough days.

Each mutant drops one section of Creepy armor. If playing with friends, everyone can get a piece of Creepy armor if they skin it simultaneously. The entire suit looks gruesome, with flesh covering your character from head to toe, but it protects from almost double the hits as bone and leaves armor.

When planning to get Creepy armor, stocking up on healing supplies, a light source, and ammo is best. The Shotgun and Crossbow are particularly effective against mutants. Players can also use grenades to ward off groups of Puffies, the most common but weakest mutants in caves, and don’t drop any Creepy armor.
