Combat in Persona 5 Tactica is a blast, and it will take up most of the time you spend in the game. So, it’s best to know how to use the mechanics to their full potential. Here’s our guide on how to get an all-out attack (triple threat) efficiently in Persona 5 Tactica.

Getting an all-out attack (triple threat) efficiently in Persona 5 Tactica

Learning the mechanics around a triple threat was a bit confusing to me in the early hours of the game, and it took me a little bit to get to grips with them. So, here’s the basics around the triple threat mechanic in Persona 5 Tactica: all you need to do is form a triangle around a downed enemy with your units while having a unit on a One More action. The unit that’s on the One More action will be the one who can do a triple threat. You don’t need everyone to be in a One More, only one unit.

The part that tripped me up during the first few hours of Persona 5 Tactica was having the enemy downed. When I killed the enemy in the action that granted me the One More, I would wonder where my triple threat opportunity was. But you need to have a downed enemy and form the triangle with the downed enemy inside for a triple threat to activate.

Tips for getting a triple threat and a downed enemy

Getting a triple threat is all about downing an enemy and being able to position your units correctly in Persona 5 Tactica. My first tip would be to identify the possibility of a triple threat at the start of a turn, instead of halfway through one. This allows you to choose where you place a unit, or which unit will get a One More to try and activate the triple threat.

The next tip for getting a triple threat in Persona 5 Tactica is the biggest one, and that’s to make sure you can, in fact, down an enemy. That sounds simple, but thanks to how some ailments like shock and despair work, you can inflict an ailment on an enemy in cover to make them downable during the turn. For me, this means using Joker as my first action every turn, because he can inflict despair pretty frequently, if not all the time. Which allows another unit to start a chain of downing enemies and getting into position for the optimal triple threat. Also, don’t forget about follow-up attacks, which are a great way to get an easy One More so you can maybe even get two triple threats off in one whole turn.
