Fallout: London is essentially an entirely new Fallout game based in the narrow winding streets of the Big Smoke. The team who artfully built this Fallout London mod to become the fully voiced, extensive game that it is wound some wonderful and varied endings that give a lot of Bethesda’s own writing a run for its money.
How many endings does Fallout London have?
Currently, Fallout London has three very different endings. However, there is a rumor that a fourth will be released with an update later in the production cycle. Keep an eye out for when that one drops.
The three endings tie in with the three main factions. As the narrative unfolds, more factions are involved, but only three of them really have any sway over the game’s outcome.
Three endings, all satisfyingly unique, are a hell of a thing for a free mod to give. I, for one, am wildly impressed by the team’s dedication.
Fallout London point of no return, explained
The Fallout London point of no return can occur in a number of different ways. After the Shoot The Messengers mission, there will be a message letting you know this is the point at which the ending will start to play out. However, there are two more ways to lock the game into a specific ending, so make sure you are aware.
Both the 5th Column and Camelot can lock you into siding with their faction with little to no introduction. By simply talking to the 5th Column, you will be dedicated to their cause as they smash down their iron fist on the city of London. With the Camelot faction, there is the opportunity to interact with them briefly, but they, too, will lock you in after only a mission or two.
Be aware of these two point-of-no-return situations in Fallout London. They have been a minor point of contention for the players, who complain there is insufficient warning. Once you have decided on one of the three factions, the rest of the Fallout London world will be changed for better or worse.
How to get all endings in Fallout London
Like any good Fallout game, London has multiple endings. These endings are varied and can be changed by the smallest interactions. However, there are three primary endings, depending on which faction you side with. The three factions each have very different ideas of what the city’s future will look like, and it is up to you to decide which one you want.
Angels ending
The Angel faction will give you a little time to get to know them in Fallout London before you decide to help in their quest. Siding with them is one of the more open options in the game. As you progress through the storyline in Fallout London, you’ll be drip-fed information about this shady organization.
Progressing through the story, following their secret missions, will gradually push you toward this faction, ending in Fallout London. At one point, you will receive a message about a point of no return, at which point it is time to make up your mind.
The 5th Column ending
Be aware that after interacting with the 5th Column, you’re pretty much locked into following this faction until the ending in Fallout London. Again, like the other two factions, this choice to talk to the 5th Column comes halfway through the Westminster part of the core storyline.
Speaking with the 5th Column members in Tower Hamlet and assisting in their questlines will lock you into the 5th Column ending of Fallout London. Eventually, you will be prompted to swear loyalty to Ivan and join the fascist movement of the future! What joy!
Camelot ending
Camelot is a little more lenient in timing between meeting and being committed to an ending, but not by much. When you first meet this faction in the south of Westminster, you will be able to interact with them briefly before committing to their cause.
You can choose this ending in Fallout London by approaching them and beginning their quest. This will set you on the path to helping them remodel London in their way. If you dream of a democratic London with fair votes and equality, you may want to take this option.
Other endings in Fallout London
Depending on how you played the game and who you interacted with throughout the various quests, many small tweaks can be made to change the endings. Some of the ending events attainable in Fallout London are as follows:
- Smythe – If you went with a faction other than the Angels, he would be either executed or imprisoned. Of course, death is always an option before this.
- Various Companions – If you decide to complete the companions’ quests in Fallout London, the ending will address the success and give them an outcome fitting. However, if you don’t complete their quest, the message will inform you that they will continue trying to resolve their issues.
- Minor Factions – Throughout Fallout London, there are several minor players in the game. These groups include the Vagabonds, Isle of Dogs Syndicate, and Gentry. Siding with any of these and following their storylines to the end will result in an honorable mention at the end of the game. This usually entails the downfall of their enemies and the rise of some kind of power under whatever regime you selected from the main factions.
- Tommys—As an uncertain military presence in the game, the fate of the Tommys is decided by whom you choose to side with. In the case of the Angles, they will become part of their secret military. Choosing Camelot will result in them taking the role of any democratic standing army. For the 5th Column, the Tommies will be disbanded and become just more bodies in Eve’s personal military.
Make sure you have done everything you want to in Fallout London before pursuing the ending. There are plenty of weapons and beer coasters to find around the lovely old streets of the big smoke.
