Without any clear direction from the developers, we certainly cannot give you any sure solution to the problem. However, here are a few solutions for you to try out in order to solve the ‘an unexpected error has occurred’ problem in EA FC 24.

How to fix the ‘an unexpected error has occurred’ problem in EA FC 24

Many players have been getting this error message since the release day of EA Sports FC 24. This problem, also known as the Pro Club problem, occurs mainly when players want to enter the Clubs menu from the home screen of EA Sports FC 24. Although the exact reason behind the issue is still unknown, it is most likely occurring due to the crossplay features of the Clubs mode in the game. Several players have reported that this error only occurs when they try to play with friends who are playing EA Sports FC 24 on different platforms. Here are a few steps you can try out in order to fix this issue.

Disable crossplay

As the problem is assumed to be related to the crossplay feature of EA FC 24, disabling Crossplay in the game might solve it for you. However, if you disable crossplay, you can no longer drop in matches with players who are playing on a different platform than yours. If you decide to turn off crossplay, you can still play with players who are playing on the same platform as you. Meanwhile, you can wait for EA Sports to roll out a patch to solve the issue. To disable crossplay in EA FC 24, follow the given steps.

  1. On the EA FC 24 home screen, click on the Settings icon in the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Click on Online Settings.
  3. Go to Matchmaking Options.
  4. Disable Cross-Play.
