Dragon’s Dogma 2 features eight playable classes, or Vocations as they are called, for the players. Four of these Vocations are major ones that are unlocked from the start of the game, and the rest of them are advanced and require a few requirements.

One of the Vocations for both the Arisen and Pawns is the Sorcerer. Similar to the Mage, the Sorcerer can also cast powerful spells, but has a more offensive role than the Mage. Grievous Horns is one of the weapons associated with Sorcerer that players can get their hands on relatively quickly in the game. This guide details the location of the cave one has to explore to find the weapon, along with other ways of acquiring it.

During the Vocation Frustration side quest, you will be tasked to acquire a Greatsword and an Archistaff in order to unlock the Warrior and Sorcerer Vocation, respectively. Even though you can acquire these weapons any time in the game and unlock the Vocations, it is best to take advantage of another quest to complete this task. The main quest, Monster Culling, tasks you with traveling to Trevo Mine, situated northwest of Vernworth, and getting rid of the Goblins there.

Enter Trevo Mine

After reaching the Trevo Mine, you will have to make your way to the large room with a locked door on your right. Be sure to bring a Dragon’s Dogma 2 Wakestone with you in case you are overwhelmed by Goblins. Ignore the locked door and head straight along the path ahead until you reach the wooden bridge. Instead of crossing the bridge, jump down from the left side to fall on a rock platform. There should be a path here at the back that leads further deep into the cave. Keep going forward, and you will see a chest with the Grievous Horns inside.

You can then take this back to a Vocation Guild in order to unlock the Sorcerer Vocation. There is also a chest in Trevo Mine that has a Ferrystone, but it might be harder to reach for some Vocations.

Where To Buy Grievous Horns In Dragon’s Dogma 2

After presenting Klaus, the Vocation Guild Master, with the Archistaff and unlocking the Vocation, you need to make your way to Roderick’s Smithy, situated near the center of Vernworth next to the fountain. The NPC here will be selling the weapon for 1m540 Gold if you need to purchase it from him. This can be quite a lot of Gold to spend on a weapon early on in the game, but the game offers a lot of ways to acquire Gold, be it through chests or by completing quests.

As the game progresses, you will acquire better weapons for your Vocations, and you can even purchase better ones from the Smithy merchants located in different areas of the world map.
