Ore is an indispensable resource in Palworld‘s mid-game, without which you can’t craft many useful items and structures. Due to the lack of veins and the large weight of Ore, mining this resource is a rather complicated and time-consuming process. To make life easier and mine this resource faster, we will tell you how to make an Ore farm in Palworld. Such an option is not available immediately but only after you level up your Palbox enough to place a new base somewhere.

6 Things To Do First In Palworld

As Palworld can feel massive and overwhelming, new players should prioritize a few things to get started on the right note.

Palworld: How to Automate Ore Mining

Palworld: Ore

Unfortunately, you can’t build a special structure for mining Ore, such as a Stone Pit for Stone or a Logging Site for Wood. Instead, you’ll have to build a new base near a resource vein and create all the conditions for your Pal to do it themselves. This is quite difficult and time-consuming, especially if you have just started playing, so let’s have a closer look at it, considering each step in turn.

Upgrade Palbox

First, you need to get the opportunity to build another base if you don’t want to destroy the existing one. To do this, you’ll need to upgrade your Palbox to level 10 by building new structures and completing tasks.

Finding Ore Veins

The next step is to find a place with a lot of Ore veins. Grab some food and weapons, and set off on a journey because it’s quite difficult to find a decent amount of Ore in one place. If you’re lucky enough to find one, the next step is to set up your new base here. First, place the Palbox so that the borders of the base cover as many veins as possible.

Palworld: How to Cook

If you want to learn how to deal with hunger, here’s everything you need to know about cooking in Palworld.

Next, you’ll need to take care of the living conditions for the Pals who will be working here. To prevent them from getting sick and depressed, it is recommended to build at least the following structures:

  • Straw Pal Bed – To give the Pals a place to sleep
  • Berry Plantation – So that Pals can grow food
  • Feed Box – To store food
  • Chest – Storage space for collected resources

Palworld: Pals

Once you’ve done that, the last thing to do is to assign Pals to do their jobs on the base. To mine Ore, you’ll need to find and assign Pals whose Work Suitability indicates they can mine.

You can find this out by opening Paldeck, selecting the desired Pal, and looking at the Work Suitability section. By the way, the Pals you want to assign must have at least level 2 Mining; otherwise, they cannot dig Ore but only Stone.

In addition, to automate the process, you will also need to assign those who will plant seeds, water the plantation, and harvest the berries, so make sure that you have Pals with the appropriate Work Suitability.
