Since the Assassin’s Creed games are open-world, you’ll hopefully be doing other things outside of the main mission. In Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, there was quite a bit to explore, so much so that we created a world map to help readers find treasures. This trend is brought over to Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. While the map is smaller than Valhalla’s, the side objectives make up for it. This brings Baghdad to life, which could help with the immersion. In Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, you can explore the city to find many side things, such as Tales of Baghdad. These missions can have you doing anything from killing someone to stealing something. They are a great way of learning what Baghdad has to offer. One particular Tales of Baghdad mission in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage called Holy Quest may puzzle you, so follow along below for some hints.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage – How to complete the Holy Mission quest

The Holy Mission quest in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is located in the Northern part of Harbiyah and is one of the earliest Tales of Baghdad you’ll run into. You can use the map for help.

Once you reach there, you’ll get to a grave site. Look for a monk to interact with. Once you talk to him, he’ll explain that you need to find the grave of a person who can seek redemption. By using your Eagle Vision, you’ll see a few highlighted grave markers. However, upon interacting with them, they’ll be wrong. To find the right one, head to the water near the grave site. With your Eagle Vision, you should see a lone grave by a tree.

When you interact with it, a cutscene will start. During this scene, you’ll find out the monk intends to dig up the body and move it to the church nearby. As mentioned, this is how the body can get redeemed. After the scene is done, guards will approach both of you and then a fight starts.

Fun Fact: When you come back to the gravesite later, the grave will have already been dug up. This highlights how much the world changes according to what Basim does.

After you’ve dealt with guards and spoken to the monk, you should get an experience point. Experience points or Skill points in Assassins’s Creed: Mirage can be used to buy skills for Basim or unlock more tool slots.

Where to find more Tales of Baghdad

These side missions aren’t as common as the other side activities, and in some cases, will be far out of the way. Each region of Baghdad has at least a single Tale. To find them, you must explore the region you’re in. As soon as it pops up, it’ll be indicated on your compass at the top. Then you can use your eagle companion, Enkidu, to pinpoint the exact location. On your map, it’ll be a big golden icon. I highly recommend doing these Tales as they come, some add more playtime overall and extend an otherwise short story.
