Step-by-Step Instructions for Completing the “I Fought the Law” Gig

Here is what you need to do to complete the “I Fought the Law” gig:

Meet with Elizabeth and her husband, Jefferson, in person.
Get in the car with the couple to learn of the death of Night City’s Mayor.
Since they suspect the mayor’s death wasn’t natural, they will ask you to investigate a Braindance of a previous assassination attempt on the mayor.
Investigate the Braindance to identify the following clues: – Audio Layer: 0:15 – Mayor’s Conversation – Visual Layer: 1:00 – Shadowy Figure – Visual Layer: 1:00 – CCTV Monitor
After analyzing the Braindance, you will learn of two persons of interest: River Ward and Peter Horvath.
Jefferson will send you Ward’s contact information; you must call him. River Ward will instruct you to meet him at the Chubby Buffalo’s.
Meet River Ward at the Chubby Buffalo’s and team up with him after discovering more about the assassin, Peter Horvath. Here, you can choose between meeting his employer or Ward’s informant.
If you choose to meet the employer, you won’t get much information, but you will learn more about Horvath and have a gunfight while returning to Ward’s car. However, if you chose the Streetkid lifepath, you can talk your way out of the altercation.
Head to the informant’s workplace and chase him down when he runs.
The informant, Neil, will provide information regarding the Red Queen’s Race Club and how it was shut down after the mayor’s death.
Head to the new location and wait for Ward.
Get into the warehouse via the broken fence surrounding it.
Locate the club in the center of the warehouse using the scan ability, which helps you locate a door behind a container.
Take out the two enemies or sneak past them.
Disable the security cameras or take out all the enemies since you will not be penalized for doing so.
Head to the back room via the stairs on the left side to find a computer.
Go through the computer to find a video that reveals how the mayor died and how Ward’s partner was involved in the cover-up.
