Vampire Survivors: How to defeat Blue Death
The Blue Reaper, AKA The Drowner, is tough, but there are several ways to beat him. I’ll explain two methods: one you can use with some planning and another if you’re struggling mid-match.
Use a Rosary
There are always 3 Rosaries available on Cappella Magna, and they spawn immediately south of the player. As soon as you start, head down until you hit a wall. Follow the wall either way, and you’ll quickly reach a Rosary. The Rosary will kill the Reaper in a single hit; just ensure your opponent is fully on the screen before you pick it up.
The Blue Reaper typically spawns around the 5-minute mark, so you have time to prepare and stand near the Rosary.
Use aimable weapons
While the Blue Reaper has a ton of health, conventional weapons can still defeat it. The Blue Reaper is a menace because it is so hard to hit. Fortunately, this isn’t a problem if you use a weapon you can aim. The Knives are a great choice as they fly in the direction you’re facing.
Another deecnt option is the Magic Wand. The Wand always targets the closest opponent; while that won’t always be the Blue Reaper, you can do serious damage quickly. The Magic Wand becomes the Holy Wand when combined with the Empty Tome and is even more deadly.
The Blue Reaper has an obnoxious amount of health, but rest assured, it will go down through high-damage, concentrated attacks. If you’ve been lured into Vampire Survivors by the Among Us crossover DLC, check out our guide to unlock the iconic Crewmate as a playable character.
