How To Get a Pet in My Time at Sandrock
To adopt a pet in My Time at Sandrock, you will first need to complete the sidequest sequence Banjo’s Caretaker, Banjo Trouble, and finally How to Tune Your Banjo. Once you have completed these sidequests, you will be able to adopt any pet that you have reached Buddy status with three stars.
To befriend a pet you have to talk to them and give them a preferred gift daily. Each pet has their favorite and won’t mind you giving it to them repeatedly. Once you have reached Buddy status with a pet, you will be able to adopt them by speaking to them and selecting the Adoption interaction.
Before you adopt a pet, you will need to build a Cat House for them to sleep in. You can craft a Cat House at a Worktable using the following materials:
- Two Hardwood Planks
- Two Basic Leather
Once you have built a Cat House, you can adopt your new pet! They will move in with you and become a part of your family. You can rename your pet and interact with them like any other character in the game.
One cool thing about pets is that they can be sent outside to perform Dispatch Tasks. Dispatch Tasks are missions that your pet can complete to gather resources for you. To send your pet on a Dispatch Task, simply speak to them and select the Dispatch interaction. This is a great thing to do so you can have extra resources when needed.
