EA Sports doesn’t do everything poorly, but a recently discovered Madden 24 player model has the community feeling like that’s far from the truth. Brian Bresee of the New Orleans Saints looks a certain way, but the developers evidently paid that no attention. One Reddit user shared the player model in comparison, and it got the community fired up.
Madden 24 player model inaccuracy frustrates gamers
Brian Bresee is a pretty solid defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints. In u/RapGameRufio’s Reddit post, he was an 82 OVR player. That’s far from someone inconsequential enough for EA Sports to get away with a lazy model. Nevertheless, the model doesn’t really resemble the player whatsoever.
In fact, it’s a pretty distinctly different model. This had the community grilling EA Sports, with one commenter saying that it’s unfortunately nothing new. Upon the release of Madden 20, Christian McCaffrey had a black player model.
u/CzarcasmRules said, “If you close your eyes. It’s a spitting image.” u/cory_ander69 pointed the focus on players who continuously buy the game despite the poor quality, “And a daily reminder that it wouldn’t be there without each and every one of you.”
u/The-Filthy-Casual simply couldn’t believe that this was a real player model. Another user laughed at the fact that EA Sports, for whatever reason, made this player Arabic instead of what he actually is. u/mechshark said, “Bro there’s no shot this is the same person lmao.”
u/noveel007 said it this way, “If we all would stop buying these rinse and repeat franchises and stand up for our hard earned dollar bills and hold these face less corporations to some standard instead of year end year out paying more and more for a one to two digit overall change and a few skins. If we all would stop buying these rinse and repeat franchises and stand up for our hard earned dollar bills and hold these face less corporations to some standard instead of year end year out paying more and more for a one to two digit overall change and a few skins.”
Put simply, these issues continue to happen and the community is growing tired of it. This is a pretty easy thing to get right, but EA didn’t seem to bother with it.
