Guinaifen is a 4-star Fire Nihility character. While some Nihility characters rely on debuffing the enemy team, others focus on applying damage-over-time effects and dealing damage. Guinaifen does have some debuffing potential, however, as her “Burn” status can also inflict a unique status ailment: Firekiss, which increases the damage an enemy receives.
As a damage-over-time character, Guinaifen’s team comps are specialized, so you’ll want to know who works with Guinaifen best. Here are some characters that work well with Guinaifen:
- Kafka: For anyone keeping up with Honkai Star Rail’s powerful cast, Kafka is an exceedingly obvious choice for a teammate. Kafka gets stronger with more DoT appliers, and Guinaifen’s ability to also increase the damage an enemy takes will make her a valuable asset in Kafka teams. Guinaifen will apply Burn and Firekiss, allowing Kafka to deal exceedingly high amounts of damage.
- Sampo: Sampo is another Nihility character with a focus on damage-over-time effects. His Ultimate increases the damage of a DoT effect, meaning Sampo and Guinaifen can work well together as a team focused on applying DoTs. Just note, both characters here are skill-point hungry, so you’ll want to pair these two up with supports that generate skill points quickly. Some examples are Tingyun, Pela, and Luocha.
- Asta and mono-Fire: This is a team that will grow stronger over time as more Fire DPS characters are released. Asta has the ability to boost her team’s overall Fire damage, so creating a team surrounding Fire units can yield great results. So far, there isn’t too many Fire DPS characters, but the potential of this team will grow as more units are introduced.
