Here are four banks that offer money when you switch accounts

It's been a lean few months with bank switch offers but they're back with a vengeance.

Four offers have launched in the last few weeks with free cash on offer to transfer banking from competitors.

In addition, all four current accounts offer access to some of the highest paying savings accounts too.

If you haven't been a serial switcher in the last few years, you can hope to benefit from at least one, if not more.

However, if you have already had money from these banks, there is a good chance that you will be excluded this time.

Lloyds

Just three days after completing your change you will receive £200 in your account.

It's quite simple. You'll need to open a new LloydsKonto Club Lloyds Silver or Club Lloyds Platinum account (the latter two are bundled accounts with high monthly fees) and three direct debits can be transferred as part of the switch.

You can choose a free option, such as a year of Disney+ with ad subscription or six cinema tickets, and get access to regular savings at a rate of 6.25%.

This is the only offer with a published end date: December 10.

First direct

There is £175 in cash, but only for new customers. The change is also more complicated because many of these transactions occurred this year.

Once you open your account, you'll need to transfer two direct debits and use your debit card five times within 45 days.

This account comes with a better paying regular savings option, this time offering 7%.

Nationwide

You can also earn £175 when you transfer your personal account to Nationwide and a further £175 when you switch to a joint account.

So for a couple who move three accounts, that leaves £525 in their pocket. Whether you make one or more changes across the country, each one requires you to add £1,000 to your account, use your debit card and transfer two direct debits.

It's available to new and existing FlexDirect current account holders and includes 5% interest on balances up to £1,500 per year, 1% cashback and access to a regular saver paying 6.5%.

Cooperative Bank

Honestly, this one is more complicated than the others. You'll get £75 for switching to a standard current account if (deep breath…) you deposit £1,000, make two direct debits, make ten debit card transactions and add your debit card to your digital wallet on your phone. All within 30 days of completing the shift.

If you want more cash, there's a further £75 available split over three months if you do the same things each month.

In total you could earn £150 plus access to 7% regular savings.
