Sometimes seeing multiple of hundreds on unread emails in your inbox feels like an overwhelming task to get through, but for Arrowhead Game Studios it would be an easy day, as the team recently processed over 1.3 million requests from players to fix a progression glitch in Helldivers 2.
Posting on the official Helldivers Discord server, Arrowhead Game Studios updated players on the status of over 1.3 million progression requests saying,
“Earlier today, we ran through a bunch of manual progression requests to fix locked difficulties for about 1,300,000 players who hadn’t been able to unlock them normally. Unfortunately, all of these manual requests caused a bit of a backup in the system that led to some hiccups in store purchases and other account features at the same time. Because of this, we’re looking to push through the rest of the difficulty unlock requests tomorrow over the course of the day in smaller batches. Anyone stuck on a certain difficulty should, fingers crossed, have the issue fixed soon if it wasn’t already fixed earlier today. Thanks as always for your patience.”
This will be great news for these players as many have been stuck at lower difficulties, unable to take part in the harder missions which introduce more difficult enemies such as the Charger and Bile Titans. Completing harder missions also allow players to collect rare samples, although as u/StaleFish57413 stated on Reddit “You need tons more common samples than you need rare ones. so you will definitely not regret having some stockpiled.”
If you’ve been stuck on a lower difficulty, now would be a good time to check out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guides and best armor guides so you can make sure you have the best loadouts in order to take down the more difficult Terminids that await you.
