Heather Graham has explained why she went public with what she didn't talk to her parents about for 30 years.
The 52-year-old filmmaker previously told The Wall Street Journal in August, 'I stopped talking to my parents when I was 25, and now I'm estranged from them.'
'I mean, speaking in an interview is a little vulnerable,' she explained in a new interview with People.
'At the same time, I know there are a lot of people going through something like this, so I think I have to be honest about my life and not pretend everything is wonderful all the time.'
Revealing that she has no regrets about her decision to share the family rift with the world, she added, 'It doesn't matter what I am.'
She doesn't go into all the details in the article about why I don't talk to them, 'but I have great, wonderful friends. It was the luckiest thing in my life.
