GSC Game World recently showcased its most extensive look at the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl with a developer deep dive earlier in the week, and hot on the heels of the all the excitement that generated, the developer has released another lengthy new trailer for the shooter.
This time, the focus is on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s open world setting, that being, of course, the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. The trailer, clocking in at nearly 5 minutes, offers a meaty look at the seamless 60 square kilometers map, showcasing a variety of different locations. In terms of visual fidelity and atmosphere, the game is continuing to look more than a little impressive. Check out the trailer below.
As GSC Game World confirmed with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2’s recent deep dive, its map will consist of 20 different zones, each coming with their own environments, residents, and anomalies, while several locations from past S.T.A.L.K.E.R. titles will also return, often in tweaked and expanded form. Meanwhile, several locations will, of course, be based on their real-world counterparts.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl launches on November 20 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s been confirmed that it will receive two post-launch story expansions.
