Zurich – Davos 2:3 nV

ZSC Lions lost 2:3 in extra time to HC Davos in the top flight in Zurich. Michael Fora scored the winning goal with 0.8 seconds left in overtime. The last time ZSC faced Kloten at home was on January 20, losing 1-3. Since then, Zürcher SC has won 25 consecutive games against its own team. With Fora's last-minute winning goal, Davos won for the tenth time in the past 11 rounds.

Currently, three teams are tied for the lead: ZSC Lions, HC Davos and Lausanne HC, all with a total of 40 points. If ZSC Lions failed to equalize through Jesper Frödén in the 56th minute and save the team a point, HC Davos would equalize again for the first time since January 4, 2015. Nearly 500 rounds played (488) tops the National League.

Zug – Lausanne 6:2

Zug reacted strongly to Wednesday's embarrassing performance against Bern (1:6). Gregory Hofmann and Fredrik Olofsson scored two goals each in a 6-2 home win over Lausanne, which heads to central Switzerland as leaders. These were Olofsson's first two goals of the season. The home side won 4-1 in the central third thanks to Lausanne goalkeeper Antoine Keller, who was substituted after 40 minutes. EVZ had lost all four of its previous matches against Vaudois.

Fribourg-Bern 5:4 n. p.

In Freiburg, Gautron and the Bern Skating Club created a spectacle from the first second. After 23 seconds, the game was already 1:1. 32 years ago, both goals were scored even faster (Embry-Zug 2-0 after 22 seconds). Jakob Lilja (from Embry, played for Di Domenico) scored his first goal for Gotron, making the score 1-1. It was also strange because the puck came to rest freely in front of Lilia's goal with Bern goalie Adam Redburn behind it. In the end, Freiburg won 5:4 in a penalty shootout. In Bern, no striker could succeed, with Jakob de la Rose and Christoph Belch scoring for Gottron. Bern has lost eight of nine overtime games this season.

Lugano – Bill 6:3

Bill arrived in Lugano late due to traffic jams in the Gotthard; the start of the race was slightly delayed. The brief preparation was not an obstacle for the Kiwis: Toni Rajala scored twice and the Bills did not lead 3-2 until the 29th minute. Jesper Peltonen also achieved a decisive reversal from 2:3 to 4:3 with two goals (in the 29th and 36th minutes).

Langnau – Rapperswil-Jona 4:5 n.5,

The SCL Tigers lost to the Lakers 4-5 in the next game, a game in which the lead changed a lot. At least the Langnauers scored again: after 0:4 against Zug, 0:3 against Davos, 0:2 against Ajuj, they scored through Michal Kris after 201 minutes and 49 seconds Tove made the score 1-0. What followed was painful: Although the Tigers followed up with a power play and a penalty kick, four minutes after leading 1-0, they fell behind 2-1 for the first time. Pontus Aberg scored the winning goal for the Lakers at the 62nd and 20th minute.

Kloten – Ajoy 5:2

Canadian Greg Ireland, who took over for Ajoy during the national team break, lost 2:5 in his first game in Kloten. Ajoy had won twice before the tournament was interrupted. The Jurassics clearly missed out on a third straight win. In the second quarter, Kloten scored three goals in 11 minutes, from 0:1 to 3:1.
