A decade of anticipation will be culminating with Grand Theft Auto 6’s hotly anticipated official announcement trailer tomorrow, December 5, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, and some details on the trailer seem to have emerged ahead of time.
Rockstar Games has published the YouTube premiere link for the official Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement trailer, which, of course, is currently in the process of counting down to the aforementioned time tomorrow. Interestingly, however, as pointed out by Gematsu on Twitter, diving into the video’s metadata reveals that it will be one minute and 31 seconds in length.
To many, that might not seem enough for a game that people have been waiting for for so long, but it’s how Rockstar usually operates. The announcement trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5 was just shy of the minute-and-a-half mark, while the Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal trailer was just slightly over a minute long.
Recently, brief new gameplay footage and potential details on Grand Theft Auto 6 also leaked, claiming that the game is targeting a Fall 2024 release, and will feature a map twice as large as GTA 5’s. Read more on that through here.
