Today, at the beginning of the Gran Turismo 7 Manufacturers Cup World Finals, Polyphony Digital and Genesis Motor announced a new Vision Gran Turismo concept car.
It’s called Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept, and it comes in Genesis’ super-bold Magma Orange color. It’s also designed to embody the manufacturer’s trademark concept of “athletic elegance.”
As usual, it’s not supposed to be a production car, but it’s a concept designed in collaboration between Genesis engineers and Polyphony Digital.
Like all Vision Gran Turismo cars, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept will appear in Gran Turismo 7. Specifically, it will be added to the game with an update in January. A specific release date has not been announced.
A trailer has been released to celebrate the reveal, and you can watch it below to experience the elegance of the new car.
On top of the trailer, you can also take a look at the unveiling of the car.
Lately, collaborations with real-world manufacturers have gone beyond the historical Vision GT concept, which has already sparked the creation of several cars. Lately, Polyphony Digital Collaborated with Nissan in the creation of a real-world concept car exhibited at the prestigious Japan Mobility Show.
We also heard about a collaboration with the Bulgari brand, which is going to be fully unveiled tomorrow during the World Finals of the Nations Cup.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4, and it also includes PlayStation VR2 support. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the best implementations of Sony’s VR headset that fans can enjoy at the moment of this writing.
While the game has been available for over a year, Polyphony Digital has been very consistent in keeping it updated, culminating with the recent release of the Spec II update, which added 7 new cars and the Lake Louise track in the Canadian Rockies.
