XD and Sunborn Network announced the release date of the tactical RPG Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, a spin-off of the popular Girls’ Frontline mobile franchise.
Unlike the original mobile game, this tactical RPG is coming for PC via Steam and will be released on March 22, 2024.
It tells a story set 30 years after the original game, during the Second Cold War, providing a different perspective on the well-known gacha franchise.
The story is about the deeds of Antarctic Union agent Mendo and the mysterious girl Jefutyas they fight against the forces of the Union of Rossartrism Nations Coalitions (URNC).
The content of the game is particularly rich, sporting a 300,000-word storyline across over 60 stages, offering up to 100 hours of gameplay. The player’s decisions will matter as the story features 13 possible endings.
There are over 10 characters to control in tactical turn-based battles. You’ll meet known characters from Girls’ Frontline and find Easter Eggs related to the franchise.
The game is available in English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Korean. It’s also fully voiced, albeit only in Japanese.
The visuals are drawn in adorable pixel art, with SD characters fighting on grid-based 2D stages, creating the classic feeling that many tactical RPG lovers enjoy. There are plenty of weapons and gadgets to enjoy and the player can use the terrain to their advantage in battle.

The game is priced at $24.99, while a Deluxe Edition is priced at $39.99. The Deluxe Edition includes seven exclusive skins, item packs, a digital art book, and an original soundtrack album featuring over 60 tracks.
