When it comes to mobile battle royales, it wouldn’t be disrespectful to say the first ones to pop to mind would be PUBG Mobile, but there is one that perhaps doesn’t get the worldwide recognition it should and that’s Garena’s Free Fire. Now, however, they will be on the map more with car buffs, thanks to their latest collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini.
Despite not being the first name on our lips, Free Fire has a rather enviable resume under its belt. According to data.ai, formally known as App Annie, it was the most downloaded mobile game for three years straight since 2021. Its popularity extended to the esports world, with its annual World Series smashing the most-watched esports event record in 2021.
Now, the world of Free Fire will be forever changed, at least through December anyway. Instead of Santa, the fun will be brought this year by Automobili Lamborghini, injecting some of their signature action into an already action-filed battle royale, which will result in the more adrenaline-pumping match of your life.
As you are zipping around the maps, you can do so in a bit more style thanks to the four special supercar skins you can collect. Will they make you faster and able to outspeed a bullet? Probably not, but at least you will look pretty cool in your Lamborghini, right up until you run into that tree.
After you have extracted yourself from that mangled mess, don’t forget to collect the rest of the sporty-themed crossover collectables. Show off your fandom with a new arrival animation, hide behind a supercharged Italian Gloo Wall, or simply rub that kill in their face thanks to the new moving emote.
