HoYoverse has announced the release date for Genshin Impact version 4.3, as well as new details about an upcoming Genshin Concert broadcast.
Version 4.3, titled “Roses and Muskets”, is coming on December 20th, representing the final Genshin Impact update for the year.
While it will introduce two new characters to the game, HoYoverse says the update will “slow down the pace of adventure”, given that the major crisis in Fontaine was resolved in update 4.2.
You’ll still have plenty to do, though, as you’ll be assisting Furina, the Kamisato siblings, and Chioriya Boutique fashion designer Chiori in designing a film for the Fontinalia Film Festival.
This will involve minigames like designing the film itself, adding narration, and participating in shooting training, presumably so you can film the movie’s action-packed setpieces.
The two new characters joining the fray in version 4.3 are five-star Geo claymore user Navia and four-star Pyro polearm user Chevreuse, who’s also an expert in firearms.
As well as these two, you can also expect reruns for Kamisato Ayaka, Raiden Shogun, and Yoimiya, which will arrive over the coming weeks.
If you’re a fan of the Genius Invokation card game, then you’ll be pleased to know it’s getting new cards in version 4.3, as well as NPCs you can challenge.
All of this is coming alongside optimizations that include batch locking or unlocking for Artifacts, plus smoother processes for collecting expedition rewards, processed ingredients, and forged items.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, HoYoverse has also revealed new details about the upcoming Genshin Concert 2023 broadcast.
The concert will feature around 60 minutes of music from Genshin Impact, performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by legendary conductor Robert Ziegler.
Using animation technology and augmented reality, the musicians playing the pieces will be transported to “iconic game scenes”, so it’ll be more than just a traditional orchestral performance.
You’ll be able to see the concert on December 22nd, where it’ll begin at 7pm CST, which works out at around 6am Eastern. Better get up early for this one.
Genshin Impact version 4.3, meanwhile, arrives on December 20th across PC, PlayStation, and mobile devices. Watch this space for more news on all things Genshin.
