Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse showcased the first look at the gameplay of the upcoming new character Charlotte.
Charlotte is a four-star cryo character which will become available in her own Event Wish (Genshin‘s version of gacha) on November 8.
Today we get to see her in action with the first look at her gameplay, even if it’s still cut in a rather cinematic way.
Charlotte is voiced in English by Maya Aoki Tuttle and in Japanese by Azumi Waki, who played Konoha in Loop8: Summer of Gods, Lapis Rosenberg in The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, Olive in Astral Chain, and Sanae Katagiri in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls.
You can check out her trailer in English below, while the version in Japanese featuring the voice of Waki-san can be found on the official YouTube channel.
Another trailer showcasing her abilities in detail may come soon before she’s released.
“Under the lens of a reporter, truth always comes before beauty. As for how Monsieur Verite somehow manages to make every single shot perfect — both in composition and in lighting — well, that can only be down to Charlotte.”
Genshin Impact is currently available for PS5, PS4, PC, iOS, and Android. It’s a free-to-play RPG, so you can check it out without spending a dime, but there is plenty of room for Microtransactions.
Just yesterday, we saw the reveal of update 4.2 titled “Masquerade of the Guilty,” which is coming on November 8.
If you’d like to hear more about other HoYoverse games, the brand-new urban fantasy action RPG Zenless Zone Zero will get another closed beta soon and you can also read our interview with the producer Zhenyu Li from Gamescom 2023.
On top of that, the next update for Honkai: Star Rail numbered 1.5 and titled “The Crepuscule Zone” will release on November 15.
