In Genshin Impact, daily commissions hold significant value as they provide players with incentives to log in daily, offering essential rewards such as Primogems. While completing commissions may feel like a chore, players have the flexibility to choose the region in which they want to complete them, aiming for quicker or more achievement-oriented tasks.
A recent quality-of-life update introduced encounter points, allowing players to engage in quests, explore the world, or participate in events instead of strictly completing commissions. This has made daily activities more varied and less redundant, offering players more choices in how they wish to spend their time. Despite this, some players may still prefer to complete specific commissions for their rewards or achievements. With that being said, commissions in Inazuma are often considered slower and less enjoyable, making regions like Sumeru, Fontaine, or Mondstadt more appealing choices for players looking for a more enjoyable commission experience. Here are some of the best commissions in Genshin Impact that players can hope to get for a quick or fun experience.
7 Dangerous Haul
Unlike its less favored counterpart, if not one of the most disliked commissions of all time, “Safe Conduct,” which involves following a transport balloon to safety and can be very time-consuming, “Dangerous Haul” can be completed swiftly by attacking the slime balloon at the specified location. While it may not add an element of fun, the quick combat aspect of “Dangerous Haul” can bring joy to players by allowing them to finish this daily task rapidly. This is particularly convenient as players will only encounter this task in the Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma regions, which may otherwise have more time-consuming daily tasks.
6 Spreading Evil
“Spreading Evil,” much like its counterparts such as “Fungi Buster” or other region-specific commissions involving defeating certain enemies, is conveniently achievable across Teyvat, regardless of the chosen region. Players can typically quickly reach the commission marker, as they don’t tend to require traversing difficult terrain, and complete the task by defeating a group of Hilichurls and Abyss Mages.
Additionally, commissions like “Spreading Evil” drop valuable enemy materials, allowing players to accumulate them gradually without the need for more intensive farming. This is in contrast to time challenge variants, which do not yield any materials and demand completion within a shorter time frame. While the time allotted to these challenges is generally enough, unlike the time challenges as a part of region exploration, players focused on farming friendship points for less-used or unbuilt characters may still find them challenging, unlike Spreading Evil.
5 Increasing Danger
“Increasing Danger,” another Teyvat-wide Hilichurl-related daily commission, doesn’t involve defeating enemies but focuses on destroying Hilichurl towers instead. Players with AoE characters, especially those from the Pyro element, can quickly complete this quest. If players are slow in destroying towers or end up defeating enemies, most locations will spawn a second wave of enemies, but players can choose to ignore them as they would with the initial wave. For players who enjoy co-op, it’s worth noting that this commission is accessible without the need to interact with an object or NPC first to start, similar to defeating enemy commissions, which makes it quite convenient if multiple players want to complete different commissions simultaneously to save time.
4 Emergency
“Emergency” is another defeating-enemy quest across Teyvat, but with a key difference – instead of facing a group of weaker enemies, players are tasked with defeating an elite enemy. This daily commission is especially convenient and quick for players in need of specific materials, particularly if they have characters capable of dealing significant single-target damage without the need for extensive setup.
3 Hammer of the Mushrooms
“Hammer of the Mushrooms” is a daily commission specific to the Sumeru region, presented in a time-trial format where players engage in a whack-a-mole activity, hitting longer fungi that emerge from holes. This commission introduces a refreshing style to daily tasks without being overly time-consuming or challenging. Players equipped with fast melee characters or those capable of hitting all enemies in a large AoE range off-field may find it particularly quick to complete.
Additionally, a similar quest to “Hammer of the Mushrooms” involving mushrooms and providing a unique option is “The Measure of a Mushroom.” This commission requires players to consecutively jump on mushrooms. While many players find it to be one of the faster and more enjoyable commissions, aiming accurately for the next mushroom can be challenging for players using consoles or mobile devices, making it less appealing for some.
2 Eat and Learn
When it comes to daily commissions involving NPCs, some can be time-consuming due to lengthy dialogues or additional tasks requiring players to travel across the world. However, “Eat and Learn” stands out as one of the best commissions in the Sumeru Region. Jafar, the NPC for this commission, is conveniently located in the tavern near the teleport point. He simply requests common cooking ingredients like mint, raw meat, or potatoes to complete a dish, making it a quick and hassle-free task for players.
As an added bonus, providing Jafar with each of the ingredients at least once to cook three different dishes unlocks the “What’s the Matter” achievement. Unlike many other commission-related achievements, “Eat and Learn” is straightforward to keep track of, although some players may find it frustrating if they repeatedly receive the same variant they have already completed.
1 Get a Drink Atleast!
Players have previously had the option to play as a barista or bartender during certain limited-time events, but the “Get a Drink Atleast!” commission from the Fontaine region takes it to a different level by making it a fun daily task. In this quest, players need to follow the steps mentioned by the NPC Arouet, which are highlighted in the text, and then give the blend to other nearby NPCs.
Interestingly, unlike the previous regions, Fontaine has made daily commissions that involve NPC interactions more story-focused, with quests flowing seamlessly from one to another. This approach helps players immerse themselves better in the NPC commissions in Fontaine, at least until all parts of the chain are complete. Accessing commission-related achievements in this region is also simpler, with “Get a Drink Atleast” being one of them. After players complete the blends three times, they will receive the Special Blend variant, allowing them to choose their preferred special ingredient and unlocking the achievement “Not Your Average Joe.”
