A year has passed since Disney first announced Gargoyles Remastered at the D23 Expo 2022. Finally, this remake of the 1995 Sega Genesis classic, Gargoyles, has set its release on October 19th, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and GOG. To generate further excitement, Disney released a brand-new trailer, showcasing the updates and modifications made to Gargoyles Remastered.
Developed by Empty Clip Studios, Gargoyles Remastered is a revival of the ‘90s classic 16-bit side-scrolling platform adventure. In this game, players will relive the epic journey of Goliath and the Gargoyles as they battle the evil Eye of Odin and ultimately save the world from destruction. As players take on the role of Goliath, they will use his stone-crushing strength, scale stone towers and buildings with razor-sharp claws, and glide through the air as they master mid-air attacks and hand-to-hand combat in non-stop action.
Gargoyles Remastered boasts enhanced visuals, animations, and SFX, all inspired by Disney’s acclaimed animated series. This remake promises to deliver the classic gameplay experience that stays authentic to its predecessor, all while introducing new features.
One of the key features of Gargoyles Remastered is the ability for players to seamlessly toggle in real-time between graphics inspired by the animated series and classic 16-bit mode true to the original game. Furthermore, players will be able to customize their gameplay experience with modern features, including instant rewind, wide-screen presentation, and achievements. Gargoyles Remastered also includes the original soundtrack that has been remastered and optimized for a more immersive adventure.
Gargoyles Remastered will be available in digital and physical formats, with pre-orders currently open on the Xbox Store and Limited Run Games for physical copies of the Switch, PS4, and Xbox One versions.
