It has been a remarkable year in regard to video game releases. We’ve truly been blessed with a jampacked year, and here’s hoping 2024 is anywhere near as good. While the heavy number of AAA game releases is over, the good news is that the Game Awards 2023 start date and time countdown is just over the horizon. Here you will exactly when the event will start along with how to watch and some possible leaks and rumors.
Even though we are in the final month of the year, there’s still plenty of stuff to anticipate. There’s the release date for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, and, of course, there’s the GTA 6 trailer coming out very soon. In addition, there’s the free Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 update which adds even more content for fans who own the game on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
While all of the above is exciting, so too is the Game Awards 2023. There should be plenty of game reveals and stunning trailers, so be sure to get some snacks ready for the event.
Game Awards 2023 start date
The start date for the Game Awards 2023 is December 7th/8th. This is confirmed on the event’s official website. It will be hosted by Geoff Keighley once more, and there will be numerous appearances from developers, voice actors, and famous celebrities.
You can still vote for the following game of the year nominees:
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
- Alan Wake 2
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Super Mario Bros Wonder
All of the above games deserve to be nominated for this year’s main prize. Our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 review rewarded it with a 10/10, and all of the other nominees are 10/10 masterpieces, too. Baldur’s Gate 3 and Tears of the Kingdom are the favorites to take home the prize, but Alan Wake 2 is a serious contender.
